Job Title:
Research Officer
University of Queensland
First name:

I am a postdoctoral fellow working on various aspects of caveolar function and on caveola formation in a model bacterial system. I specialize in advanced electron microscopy of tissues, cells, and molecules using a range of modern techniques including cryoelectron tomography and serial blockface electron microscopy.

I graduated with honours from the University of Queensland, worked as a research assistant with Prfoessor John Hancock on Ras signalling, and then joined Rob Parton’s group to carry out my PhD. I am involved in the molecular and structural characterization of the major structural proteins of caveolae as well as the Cancer Cell Project in which we are building up a 3D model of a representative cancer cell.

Outside the lab I like to write poetry and sing.
