Centre-wide research

There are three research activities that bridge all areas of the Centre's research activities:

  • Visualisation: use data form scientific instruments to produce high-quality animations showing the complex processes that occur in cells, and develop a virtual reality model of a cell.
  • Social dimensions of bio-nanotechnologies: assess the social, ethical and political dimensions of CBNS research and use this research for lab-based ethnographic study.
  • Computational and systems biology: develop statistical and systematic network models to allow for predictive nanomaterial design.
